Slaves Announce Breakup

In wake of a successful headlining tour and the departure of guitarist Alex Lyman, Slaves have announced they are breaking up. There has not been any formal statement regarding why the group is dissolving, however, it is definitely the end of the line. Slaves Announce “Us Against The World” Tour

Slaves took to Facebook early today to announce their “Us Against The World” Tour. Despite what it’s name might suggest, this US tour will kick off in Fresno, California on March 9 and will travel counterclockwise through the continental US. The band are scheduled to play at Never Say Never Fest, South By South West and So What?! Music Festival. Justin Bieber‘s new album, Purpose, has dominated airwaves and inspired creativity. Plenty of covers have come out of new Biebs jams, Slaves being the latest band capitalizing on the trend. The group dropped a music video to accompany their new cover, showing them in their natural element. WATCH: Slaves “Running Through The !6! With My Soul” Music Video

Slaves have released a music video for their new song “Running Through The !6! With My Soul.” The song itself includes a guest vocals from Underoath and Sleepwave frontman Spencer Chamberlain as well as Dance Gavin Dance vocalist Tilian Pearson. Slaves Guitarist Hospitalized After Being Stabbed

It’s been a scary few hours for the boys of Slaves. The band’s guitarist, Alex Lyman, was stabbed last night. There was apparently nothing done to provoke the attack on him and has left him with a four-inch cut, two inches deep, and roughly a centimeter from his spleen. Both Lyman and the Slaves Twitter account have stated that in spite that fact that he was injured, he will still be joining the band on their upcoming tour dates. We wish him a speedy recovery!
