INTERVIEW: RyMo of Slightly Stoopid

Most bands don’t survive for more than 10 years. Band members grow up, start families or lineups change. Slightly Stoopid, is not one of those bands. Formed in 1994, Slightly Stoopid released their 8th studio album in 2015 and are still touring around the globe. They started out as a smaller band, but finalized their lineup with a new drummer, percussionist, trumpet/keyboard and saxaphone. Slightly Stoopid’s drummer Ryan Moran, aka RyMo, took time out of his day to chat with me about emotional music, divas and grassroots.  Please follow and like…

Sincerity is a hard thing to find in the music industry. Everyone is always moving, writing and going. Brandon Decker, the singing-songwriting troubadour of Sedona’s music scene, just came off of his national tour with his band decker. His music can be described as a soulful mix of rockabilly and folk, created by a rotating lineup of musicians, creating a unique show every time. He recently premiered a video for the title song “Patsy” off of his new album, which was debuted exclusively by Yahoo! Music. Brandon sat down with me…

LIVE REVIEW: Apache Lake Music Festival

This was my first camping music festival. I’ve attended festivals where camping was allowed, but I never participated. I figured this is as good a time as ever to camp since this is the best weather Arizona will see for a while. The festival itself was strictly Arizona bands, which as something completely unique for me to experience. I never realized there was so much diversity in music in this state and I can honestly say it was the best music event I’ve been to in a while. Please follow…

LIVE REVIEW: Black Bottom Lighters Album Release Show

Reggae concerts, in my opinion, are a very diverse event that will attract people of different backgrounds, genders and preferences. I think that is what makes it such a great environment. There is no judging, no mosh pits or fights (except for those few people that have had one too many). This album release show was the epitome of fans coming together to support a common love. INTERVIEW: Black Bottom Lighters

Every once in a while, you find a hidden gem in your hometown. This hidden gem for me is Black Bottom Lighters. The six piece reggae rock group, hailing from Glendale, Arizona, considers themselves to be “desert reggae”. What that is exactly, I do not know. What I do know is that I’ve had their songs stuck in my head since their set at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival. With their captivating lyricists and wicked drum fills, Black Bottom Lighters are a band that the world needs to look out…

REVIEW – Glamour Kills Spring Break 2015 Feat. Set It Off

On St. Patrick’s Day, you would probably never expect a concert to be sold out. Especially one that isn’t of a festive theme. This however was not the case for the Glamour Kills Spring Break tour. Fans were lined up hours before the doors opened, but much to their dismay, every posting about the time it started was incorrect. After over an hour of waiting, the doors finally opened and the show was on its way. Please follow and like us:
