When Boston Calling first announced plans to infiltrate Boston, I couldn’t have been more excited. It had been a long time coming that my home city have its own music festival, and what Boston Calling has brought the city over the years is nothing short of incredibly special. We’ve covered the festival since its inception, watching it transform, but never failing to provide stellar line-ups, and enough food, fun, and general entertainment to keep the entire weekend packed with excitement.
As announced back in May, the festival will be changing locations from City Hall Plaza to the Harvard University Athletics Complex in Allston, and eliminating the September edition, leaving only May’s Memorial Day Weekend portion. In addition to the 45 act lineup that includes Tool, Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, The 1975, Cage the Elephant, Weezer, and more (full-lineup below) the festival is expanding to include a new film experience curated by Academy Award Winning actress, producer, and director Natalie Portman, along with food, drink, and visual art components.
You can grab your tickets here, and check out the full line-up below.
