Hinds Hit the Studio

Queens of the Spanish lo-fi scene Hinds are back in the studio today, presumably working on their much-anticipated second studio album. Hinds found their way into the American indie-rock scene all the way from their hometown of Madrid in 2011. Their 2016 release Leave Me Alone boosted their career, and even got them a spot on the 2017 Coachella bill. PREMIERE: Get Along “Death of a Spirit Animal” Music Video

Colorado-based indie duo Get Along released a new music video for their single “Death of a Spirit Animal.” The song itself has a mellow quality to it. While is has no clear verse or choral arrangement, it does have several hooks. “Help me, help me, I’m so uncreative!” vocalist Cara Yañez’s shouts. Her electric ukelele and organ skills paired with Nicholas Yañez’s precise drums help give the emotionally heavy song a little less weight.
