Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys to Release Album with New Band The Arcs

black-keys-456-121312Dan Auerbach, lead singer and guitarist of the blues-rock band The Black Keys, has announced the release of a single through his new band The Arcs. The 7” vinyl single “Stay in My Corner” with B-side “Tomato Can” is set to release May 2 through Nonesuch Records. Vinyl lovers beware, because the only way you’re going to get this single is to go out to your favorite independent record store; this will be a small release. The Arcs have announced that their debut album will be released in the late summer through Warner Bros. Records.

This isn’t Auerbach’s first project outside of the Black Keys. In 2009 he released his debut solo-album Keep It Hid.  On an additional note, The Black Keys had to cancel tour dates due to drummer Patrick Carney dislocating his shoulder earlier this year. Luckily for all you fans out there, the band has announced they will be back touring before the release of The Arcs album this summer.
