David Bowie Music Video Criticized By Catholic League

David BowieDavid Bowie is back with a new album and is receiving some negative attention from the likes of Catholic League president, Bill Donohue, for his new music video that some are referring to as “anti-religion.”

“The switch-hitting, bisexual, senior citizen from London has resurfaced, this time playing a Jesus-like character who hangs out in a nightclub dump frequented by priests, cardinals and half-naked women,” Donohue stated in an online statement on the Catholic League’s website .

Shortly after the video’s YouTube premiere yesterday afternoon, the video was banned for “violating terms of service,” but returned a few hours later with an age restriction.

I'm a journalism student at UWF in my junior year currently living just outside of Pensacola, FL. I'm 27 years old. I like music. Lots of music. Live music. Headphone music. Car speaker music is real good. Food is also real good. Too good. I eat sushi with chopsticks because it makes me feel more legit.
