Ed Sheeran Wins Twice At The 2015 Brit Awards
After the 2015 Brit Awards yesterday, Ed Sheeran did not go home empty-handed. He was awarded the MasterCard British Album Of The Year for his second studio album X, beating Alt-J’s “This Is All Yours,” George Ezra’s “Wanted on Voyage,” Royal Blood’s self-titled album, and Sam Smith’s “The Lonely Hour.” X was released in June 2014 and quickly rose to No. 1 on both US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart.
Sheeran took home another win for British Male Solo Artist, which he was nominated for against George Ezra and Sam Smith again as well as Damon Albarn and Paolo Nutini. Sheeran tweeted to his fans about his two awards, saying he was “so chuffed.”
