Los Angeles-based rock band Dream Alive – Nik Phoeniks (lead vocals / keyboard), Ramon Ryder (rhythm guitar / vocals), Karan Parikh (lead guitar / vocals), Martin Fredriksson (bass) and Stanley Love (drums) – is set to release its debut album, Before The Dawn, on July 29th.
In preparation for their record release, Dream Alive has exclusively premiered their track “Forever Young” here on Infectious Magazine. The track is an ode to Parikh’s father, explaining that, “This song is a message for the greatest gift and musical inspiration I could have ever asked for – my Dad. It was his love and support that gave me the courage to pursue a career in music. When the band wrote their own parts and added them to the mix, the song came together beautifully and sounded just right. The end of the song where Nik belts out gives me goosebumps every time and lifts the song to a whole other level. “Forever Young” turned out to be the perfect ode to the perfect Dad. Happy Father’s Day to the greatest man I know!”
The record features eight soaring tracks melding sounds ranging from psychedelic to cinematic, bridging the musicality between the band’s classic rock roots in Journey and Pink Floyd and their modern rock influences of Muse and Coldplay. Happy Father’s day to those amazing dads out their and be sure to check out the track after the jump.
