GUEST BLOG: The Birth of XXI

Facebooktwittertumblrby feather

XXI_Photo_1_2015XXI was born from a passion for Christ and creating a relevant, passionate music.

In earlier years (as A Feast For Kings), we didn’t quite know how serious this would all become. Having fun and making lasting friends was all that we needed to feel that we were doing things right. With a complete DIY style we gained a lot of success by way of grabbing as many shows as possible, grinding social medias, and old school word of mouth.

We grew as much as we could on our own and along the way we picked up solid team of people to help us bring our dreams to reality. With their help we created a timeline for success.

XXI was created to be a constant reminder of life, and how beautiful it can be. It was a long process full of trying times, but we knew that we had to push on and work even harder than ever before. We started writing our music with a purpose more than fun, now we have stories to tell, now we have lyrics that make you think and feel more than ever before.

We know XXI is what we are meant to be doing, and there’s no slowing us down now.

Central Kentucky alt-rockers XXI (formerly A Feast For Kings) are set to make huge waves in the second half of 2015. Having signed to Tooth & Nail Records and crafted a sound that’s been compared to the likes of Anberlin and Saosin, the band’s debut album Inside Out will be released on September 18. Check out a teaser of their first single “Say It Again” below and if you dig what you hear, pre-orders of the album will be available starting on August 13.

XXI are also heading out on tour with Heartist, Burn Halo and Courage My Love next month and you can get full event info and buy concert tickets here.
