Jimmy Eat World frontman Jim Adkins recently spoke to Rolling Stones about Jimmy Eat World’s new album. The Em0-pioneers will release their 7th album Damage on June 11th. “We used tape for the first time in a long time, as well as computer,” Adkins said to the magazine. “I hate saying more raw, but it’s more raw and warm. Just noise all day long. There was less an emphasis on it being clean and perfect.” Adkins also addressed the band’s age as well by saying, “I’m 37 and the world around me is a lot different than when I was writing breakup songs in my 20s. I tried to reflect that in what the lyrics are.”
The band will tour behind Damage starting in May. You can buy concert tickets for those dates here.
