Maroon 5 has recently signed to Interscope Records for their fifth studio album, V, which will be released in September. This album will be preceded by a new single, “Maps,” which comes out on June 16. The band was previously on the A&M/Octone label.
In addition, Maroon 5 has signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation, and their tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
They released an official statement on their site saying, “(V) was recorded in LA over the past year and will be released on September 2nd, 2014. The band worked with producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin, and the release sees Maroon 5 reuniting with long-time keyboardist Jesse Carmichael who took a hiatus while the band recorded 2012’s Overexposed.”
Meanwhile, you can get an eyeful of the hunky Adam Levine when he makes his feature film debut in Begin Again (in theaters June 27), a musical comedy-drama starring Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.
