According to an interview featured on music website Mind Equals Blown, Miss May I are working with Terry Date on their upcoming album. Terry Date is known for his innovative work with Deftones, Dream Theater, Soundgarden, and White Zombie.
Miss May I lead vocalist Levi Benton said in the interview: “We were like dumbing it down a little bit before and now we can go full out. We’re working with Terry Date, he did Pantera, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, the new Bring Me The Horizon record. We’re going to go 100 percent new Miss May I. We’re bringing the lion back as the art cover and we have some really cool new ideas”.
In the interview, Benton goes on to say that the album does not currently have a planned release date. The upcoming album will be Miss May I’s fourth studio release, following 2009’s Apologies Are For The Weak, 2010’s Monument, and 2012’s At Heart.
