Hello, Atlantic has been a band for about a year and a half. Earlier this year, we figured we’d try competing in the Ernie Ball Play contest to play the main stage of Warped Tour. We put our first EP, Home on our page to start.
As soon as we put out our current single “That’s Discipline, Son”, we started getting more views and points on our page. Shortly after that, we kinda forgot about the contest and figured the odds of us winning, were slim.
We were in the studio one day, and a couple of us went to go get something to eat when we checked the band email seeing that we had won the contest, and we were all amazed. We couldn’t believe that we had won. Playing that stage and playing directly before Neck Deep was absolutely amazing. I hope that one day we’ll be able to play the whole tour, or at least a decent chunk of it!
Hello Atlantic started their journey in 2016, honing influence from the likes of Four Year Strong, The Starting Line, and Our Last Night. Wasting little time, the quintet released their debut EP Home in late 2016, following the release with a well-received short tour across the Northeast.
With the release of unequivocally catchy ‘That’s Discipline, Son’, The Rhode Island natives won the hearts of their local scene as well as the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, which saw the pop-punk up-and-comers landing a main stage slot at the Vans Warped Tour, a set which propelled the band to recognition beyond Rhode Island alone.
