PLAYLIST: Fest 13

3-12 Fest 13Fest is a multi-venue, now multi-city punk and alternative music event held in the middle of the swampland state in late October/early November.  Going on its 13th year, many of the bands on the line-up this year are Fest veterans.  While I could sit here and insist how cool this festival will be with headliners like The Descendents, Less Than Jake, The Menzingers, Strike Anywhere, Kepi Ghoulie, Chuck Ragan, and the Flatliners (especially if they decide to play anything off of their first album), there are going to be so many more rad, smaller bands you should be excited to see on this festival if you haven’t been before, including quite a few from overseas.

If the past few Fests are any indication, there will be crowds of over 10,000 converging in the humidity of Florida for this festival, but despite this only 3,750 passes are being sold ahead of time for Fest this year and only 1,200 for Pre-Fest, both of which are likely to sell out. You can purchase a CD from each band’s website, buy concert tickets here and check out our playlist of must see bands at this year’s Fest 13 below.

1. The Descendents (Los Angeles)- “I’m The One”

2. Red City Radio (Oklahoma City): “I’m Well, You’re Poison”

4. Cement Matters (England): “Won’t When If You?”

5. Murderburgers (Scotland): “Another Way Out of Here”

6. Less Than Jake (Gainesville): “My Money Is On the Longshot”
