We couldn’t be more stoked to share with you today the exclusive premiere for Approaching Troy‘s new music video for “DDCM.” An incredible pop-punk anthem filled with catchy hooks, lyrics meant for screaming at the top of your lungs, and an energy that can only be described as unforgettable, the music video is a beautiful visual of everything the song embodies.
“Every song can be experienced two ways—through a speaker or through a live show,” explains vocalist Jake Salazar. “We’re so grateful that so many of you have been able to experience our music as we recorded it in the studio and as we perform it on stage, and with this video we wanted to combine the two. We wanted to take this opportunity to capture the power of “DDCM” as it was on Best Intentions and combine that with the energy of our performance at Gramercy Theatre a few weeks ago. “
With a strong performance background opening for legends of their genre like Hawthorne Heights, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Venetia Fair, Patent Pending, 2016 APMA nominees Creeper, and The Ataris just to name a few, with a performance at the 2016 LAUNCH Music Conference alongside fellow Long Island idols, Bayside, it’s no wonder their choice to do a performance driven music video would come out as one of the most engaging that I’ve personally ever seen.
“DDCM” comes off Approaching Troy’s 2016 release, Best Intentions. Check it out for yourself below.
