Singer-songwriter Lyra Star sprinkles a little bit of magic into every song she creates. With her debut solo release, “Devil’s Game”, an ethereal, folk masterpiece rich with influence from her inspirations Imogen Heap and Tori Amos, Star has set the stage for what’s sure to be an incredible year.
On March 2nd, she’ll release her debut solo album, A Thousand Dreams. Recorded at Soundwire Studios in Fairfax, CA, this new collection of celestial songs comes complete with lush orchestral arrangements and Star’s magical signature vocals.
“A Thousand Dreams” is a collection of songs that are meant to transport the listener through vivid imagery,” Star explains. “I was a visual art major in college, and in a lot of ways, songwriting has become my paint palette over the last four years. I worked closely with the producer, Christopher Krotky, to create the right mood for each song, and this album is really representative of my growth as a singer/songwriter over the last four years. I’ve come a long way since my first open mic night, and I’m so proud of this compilation, because it reflects the dream-like, magical spaces inside of my own mind. It took a little over a year to complete this debut album, and it was worth every minute.”
