The Universal ToneInfectious Magazine is delighted to team up with L.A.-based rock & roll trio The Universal Tone for the official premiere of the lyric video for their latest single “Down.” Check it out below and let us know your thoughts!

The Universal Tone – the trio of Jasmin Poncelet (vocals/guitar), Garrett Craig (guitar) and Kenneth “Biz” MacKenzie (drums) – have been rising very quickly in the Los Angeles rock scene, with Vents Magazine recently comparing them to The Black Keys and Jimi Hendrix due to their unique combination of rock & roll, blues, and a touch of funk. Their debut EP, titled Nebraska, was produced by Grammy-winning engineer Bob Horn (Usher, Everclear, NeYo). It is set to be released very soon so be sure and keep up with the band through the links below for the official release announcement.

What a pleasant surprise it was to see The universal tone following me on twitter. I had never heard of them before, as soon as I heard “Down” I was hooked. I play it all the time. Can’t wait for the EP.
