STREAM: Boat Race Weekend “Broken Teeth”

img_1087.jpgHailing from Spokane, Washington, Boat Race Weekend announced the release of their upcoming EP, Throw Your Head To The World! In anticipation of the release, the band began streaming a new song titled “Broken Teeth.”

The track serves as a striking reminder to stay strong and keep moving forward. “It’s about having the strength and the courage to continue on, to work hard and persevere through the pain with your chin up,” said guitarist and vocalist Evan Kruschke.

“It’s about smiling when it seems the world has given you nothing to smile about and knowing that despite whatever you have been through, or done, or seen, you are loved, and a blessing to many,” Kruschke continued.

The indie band, comprised of three childhood best friends, was created after being asked to play cover songs at a University event. They jokingly picked a band name, got booked for a few more shows, and eventually started releasing their own music. If you find yourself drawn bands like Have Mercy and Somos, Boat Race Weekend are sure to steal a piece of your heart, too.

Pre-orders for the EP are available now, on Bandcamp. You can purchase a CD here. The band have a few shows coming up in Washington. To see them live, you can buy concert tickets here.
