STREAM: La Dispute “Polly” Nirvana Cover

la disputeLa Dispute has released a beautiful rendition of Nirvana’s “Polly.” The track comes off of Robotic Empire’s upcoming Nirvana tribute record, Whatever Nevermind. This is the second Record Store Day release dedicated to the grunge group. The release will also feature contributions from Circa Survive, Touché Amoré, and more.

This particular song does have a signature sound; however, La Dispute does manage to their own style on it. Right off the bat, the band is easily identifiable. The sound is so distinct that a young hardcore kid who was deprived of a colorful musical background would totally be convinced that Jordan Dreyer was the one who scribbled down the words himself. Take a listen to the cover below and let us know your thoughts!
