STREAM: Modern Baseball “Revenge of The Nameless Ranger”

modern-baseballPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania pop punk band, Modern Baseball, have released a new song titled “Revenge of The Nameless Ranger.” The song was originally released as a pre-order bonus for their U.S. fall tour with PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, and Tiny Moving Parts. The track is available to stream and download on their BandCamp page.

“Revenge of The Nameless Ranger” is a play on words in what seems to be a follow-up of the band’s 2011 self-released EP, The Nameless Ranger. The song tells the story of a relationship that failed and the struggle to figure out who changed who. The song is steering more towards emo punk and further away from pop punk, but this change is good and provides an interesting twist to the classic Modern Baseball sound we’re familiar with. Take a listen below the jump and let us know what you think of the new song in the comments section.

There has been no word over whether or not the band are still continuing through with their tour this October. Late last month, the band cancelled their Australian tour plans to focus on mental health issues. In the meantime, you can purchase a CD here.
