The East Coat indie pop quintet, The City and Horses, just dropped a new single titled “Shades.” The song blends indie pop and electronic music in a way that few artists have been able to replicate.
According to their website, the band “make music for the disaffected,” which gives their idiosyncratic lyrics a funky and charming quality.
“Shades” is off the band’s upcoming album Ruins, which is scheduled to release on April 21. The album is about a love triangle between frontman Marc Cantone, his ex-girlfriend and his OCD. To hear more from The City and Horses, you can purchase a CD here.
The band haven’t announced any shows lately, but you can buy concert tickets here when they become available.
