The second single from the Australian singer Troye Sivan’s upcoming album has surfaced. Entitled “The Good Side”, Sivan pulls a complete 180 from the intensity of first single “My My My”, using much softer vocals and light instrumentals to accompany. “The Good Side” highlights the struggle of a relationship, as the lyrics suggest an apologetic tone; “But I sympathize and I recognize/And baby I apologize/ That I got the good side/ The good side of things,” he sings on the chorus. The track was written by Troye, Leland and Allie X with writing and production by Ariel Rechshaid, Bram Inscore, and Jam City.
Whether the anticipated yet- untitled sophomore album from Sivan will be out soon, fans will have to keep waiting for updates. The softer acoustic arrangement of “The Good Side” does showcase some familiarity of the days of debut record Blue Neighborhood, but also a whole new side Sivan as he grows as an artist.
