Surfer Blood Guitarist Launches GoFundMe For Cancer Treatment

Surfer Blood guitarist, Thomas Fekete has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Since undergoing treatment, the cancer has unfortunately spread to his lungs and spine. Taylor Swift announced on Tumblr this morning (April 9th) that her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. The full message is titled “Just So You Know…” and explains how she discovered the news. Surviving Doors To Reunite For Manzarek Tribute

A live tribute to the founding member and late keyboardist of The Doors, Ray Manzarek, has been confirmed for later this year. The two surviving members,  Robby Krieger and John Densmore, told Rolling Stone that at least one big send off show is in the works. Krieger and Manzarek had begun performing together again in 2011. They had a show in Orange County planned for August of this year, with Krieger gaining knowledge of Manzarek’s cancer only a few months before his passing in May. David Bowie’s Spiders From Mars Bassist Trevor Bolder Passes Away

Trevor Bolder passed away late yesterday from cancer. He was 62. Bolder got his big break playing bass for David Bowie in 1971 when he replaced Tony Visconti. He played on albums such as Hunky Dory (’71), The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (’72), and Aladdin Sane (’73).
