WATCH: The Weeknd Brings Kanye West Out During His Coachella Set

There’s nothing like having a guest artist come out at a concert. Last summer I went to the Hollywood Bowl to see Billy Joel, and was pleasantly surprised when I found out that Gavin DeGraw was opening for him, though he wasn’t featured on the lineup. Then, I was even more surprised when Adam Levine of Maroon 5, came out from backstage and sang a duet of “You May Be Right” with Joel. (I was more focused on Adam Levine’s hair than his vocals though. This was when he went…

WATCH: Bad Suns “Transpose” Music Video

As a sophomore in high school I spent every weekend on Sunset Strip watching some friends’ bands play to approximately a 15 person crowd. One of these bands became Bad Suns and they’ve come a long way. Even before releasing their debut album, Language and Perspective, they opened for The 1975 on their North American tour and were on Conan O’Brien. Since the album was released they have headlined their own tour with a second headlining tour happening soon and played weekend 1 of Coachella (ya know, that kinda big festival that…

Coachella and Lollapalooza Ban Selfie Sticks

Sorry festival goers, you’re going to have to leave your selfie sticks at home. Whether you have one out of vanity or convenience, it appears they will not be allowed at either Coachella or Lollapalooza. Coachella and Lollapalooza have posted on their info pages about the picture taking devices. While Lollapalooza politely states that that there will be no “GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods” allowed, Coachella more jokingly quips that there will be “no selfie sticks/narcissists” allowed at the festival. So to all you cool kids out there hoping…

The Replacements Announce First Tour Since 1991

Everyone has that list of 4 bands or so that they wish would get back together and play one more show. In about 20 years that band will probably be Blink 182 (too soon?) Well, if The Replacements are on your list, then you’re one of the luckier ones. They just announced their “Back By Unpopular Demand” Tour 2015. In 2013, 22 years after they stopped performing together, singer, guitarist and head songwriter Paul Westerberg and bassist Tommy Stinson decided to get back together. Drummer Josh Freese and guitarist David Minehan were onboard as well. The occasion? The Riot Fests in Chicago, Denver…
