This week has been filled with award shows and festival kick-offs. The Relentess Kerrang! Awards took place on Thursday, June 12th. You can check out a full list of winners here. As we’ve said before, it’s no secret that Gerard Way is a comic book fan. The former vocalist for My Chemical Romance has always been an outspoken fan of comics, monsters, Japanese robots and superheroes. In 2007, his very first, creator-run series premiered, a year before the release of The Black Parade.
