Surviving Doors To Reunite For Manzarek Tribute

A live tribute to the founding member and late keyboardist of The Doors, Ray Manzarek, has been confirmed for later this year. The two surviving members,  Robby Krieger and John Densmore, told Rolling Stone that at least one big send off show is in the works. Krieger and Manzarek had begun performing together again in 2011. They had a show in Orange County planned for August of this year, with Krieger gaining knowledge of Manzarek’s cancer only a few months before his passing in May. Slayer To Hold Memorial Event For Jeff Hanneman

Last week, founding member and guitarist for the American metal band Slayer, Jeff Hanneman, passed away due to liver failure at the age of 49. The surviving band members have stated that there will be a celebration in honor of Hanneman later this month.
