The Grammys Happened

The Grammys. Every news source gets one post about them and here is ours (sarcasm included). I could bore you with the splendor of music’s greatest night but the simple truth is, it wasn’t. The once proud Grammys are following in the footsteps of award shows past and slowly becoming meaningless and quite frankly boring. Please follow and like us:

Vintage Playlist: Warped Tour 1995

Warped Tour is arguably the most popular, well-attended pop-punk/hardcore music festival in the United States’ summer. But Warped Tour wasn’t always this way. PHOTOS OF THE WEEK #33

Silence is golden – at least that is what indie band Vulfpeck thought. The band uploaded their new “album” Sleepify to Spotify and encouraged fans to stream it overnight. The catch? The album was completely silent. The band pulled a sly move on the popular streaming platform and at approximately $.007 earned per song play, the band earned a cool $20,000 after a months time. Check out the bands video proposal here which details that the money generated will be used toward playing free shows. Tell us Infectious readers – is this sneaky…

I’ve always considered myself some sort of feminist. When I was younger, I idolized strong creative women who spoke out for what they believed in, especially musicians. I get along really well with males, maybe even better than with females and have always felt that I play the role of the “male” in most of my relationships with men. Don’t…

Top 10 Alternative Christmas Songs

Alternative music is all about going against the grain.  An alternative band is not going to write your typical Christmas song; instead, it’s going to have that “it” factor that makes it intriguing, but typically unfriendly to radio airplay. And c’mon, let’s be real, that’s why people love Alt Rock so much.  So here are my top 10 picks for best alternative Christmas songs, and just what it is about them makes them so different when it comes to the holiday season.
