In support of her newly launched charity, The Happy Hippie Foundation, Miley Cyrus has kicked off a series of backyard sessions. The pop icon has announced the start of her campaign with a special performance of the song, “Different,” featuring rock and roll legend, Joan Jett. Miley Cyrus and The Flaming Lips Working On New Album Together

In a recent interview with Billboard, The Flaming Lips‘ vocalist Wayne Coyne has revealed that the band is working on a musical collaboration alongside none other than Miley Cyrus. Coyne says that he’s in the process of putting the finishing touches on a seven-track collaborative album with the pop star. It seems that the first iHeartRadio Music Festival to take place in Australia will have to wait. The festival, which was supposed to take place on October 18th, has been cancelled after promoters said the booking of another headlining act fell through.
