LIVE REVIEW: Nightmare And The Cat W/ Peach Kings, Max And The Moon, Los Angeles, CA

The Roxy is a small but iconic venue in Los Angeles. Recently it’s become a hot spot for album release parties. There were two opening acts for this particular party, The Peach Kings and Max and the Moon. Both bands take complete control of the intimate venue. The Peach Kings is a female-fronted rock-band with vocalist Paige Wood, at the helm. She has a look and personality that I immediately associate with Christina Chriss from Kaleido, and Hayley Williams from Paramore. Like them, off stage, she is loud, energetic and bubbly….

LIVE REVIEW: Neon Trees, Smallpools, Nightmare And The Cat Detroit, MI

The Fillmore with its elaborate décor, definitely lends itself to a theatrical show. The Pop Psychology Tour definitely lives up to this. Nightmare and the Cat, the first opening band, completely control the stage. Lead singer Django Stewart, comes out in heeled boots, eyeliner, mascara and glittery eye shadow, making me do a quick double take to make sure David Bowie hasn’t had a second coming.
