Live Review & Photos: Bush at REBEL, Toronto

May 18 will forever be scarred by the tragic loss of one of the greatest grunge (and overall rock n’ roll) singers of all time, Chris Cornell. On that day of shock and sadness there was a positive caveat for fans to come together and enjoy music of the same era as Bush passed through the Toronto’s Rebel Nightclub while on tour for their latest album Black and White Rainbows. After opening their 105-minute set with their very first single dating back to 1994, “Everything Zen,” frontman Gavin Rossdale commented…

Live Review & Photos: Needtobreathe & Colony House at The Danforth Music Hall, Toronto

In a period that is so currently bogged down with political anxiety, it’s nice to come together as a unit to enjoy some good music and good times. That was exactly what happened Thursday night when southern rock band, Needtobreathe, brought their All The Feels Tour to Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall and shared with us their sixth studio album, Hard Love. Starting the night off were Tennessee indie rockers, Colony House. A band which features two sons of renowned Christian pop singer Steven Curtis Chapman. Their energy and enthusiasm radiated…

Now touring for their fifth album, The Last Hero, the four-piece from Orlando, Florida were received with open arms on Wednesday night at Toronto’s latest venue, REBEL nightclub. Live Review & Photos: The Shelters At The Starline, Oakland, CA

The weather and traffic battled it out for which would be worse last Thursday evening during my drive to Oakland, CA. The traffic won. Luckily I gave myself enough time to arrive, grab a bite to eat, and catch the start of the show. The Starline Social Club is a historic building dating back to 1893. Once a ballroom, it now houses a restaurant and bar downstairs, and an ample sized room upstairs. Complete with original wood floors, booth seating, another bar, and tin ceiling tiles, the vintage room was a…

PHOTOS: Hit The Lights at Chain Reaction, Anaheim, CA

Ohio based band Hit The Lights headlined the Pure Noise Records Tour at Chain Reaction. The second Nick jumped on stage he couldn’t stop moving! The energy levels he had were incredible. It’s such a nice change to see a vocalist really get into the live show and give it his all to fans that come out to the show.   Their set list consisted of new and old songs from albums they’ve put out in the past 10 years. I know I appreciated hearing old songs that they don’t normally play…

PHOTOS: Seaway at Chain Reaction, Anaheim, CA

Canadian band Seaway opened up the Pure Noise Records Tour at Chain Reaction. They’re no longer strangers to this venue, vocalist Ryan Locke had stated “This is the fourth time we’ve played here & it’s our favorite venue to play. The very first time was our tour with Major League” I had gone to that show (Thanks to Infectious Mag!) and there were about 20-30 people in the crowd, myself included, but that didn’t stop them from giving an amazing show & tonight was no different. They opened up their…

The second that Joel stepped on stage to get his mic set up, fans roared with excitement & started stage diving immediately. Who says you need music to have a good time at a show? (It helps sometimes, haha) They opened up with Little Richie (How can we know Love when we were never shown it?) Joel gave the crowd a speech about how we are all humans & every single one of us…
