FEATURED ARTIST: StereoKid Interview & More

There are probably many people out there who haven’t heard of StereoKid. I’m not going to say that’s anyone’s fault in particular, there are a lot of bands out there, and one can only learn about so many at a time. But if you have the chance, check out StereoKid. It’s not only cause they’re some of the most laid back and nice guys around, which they are, they’re also incredibly talented. A little about the band: made up of brothers Greg and Dan Neal, and members Roger Lambert, &…

Coachella and Lollapalooza Ban Selfie Sticks

Sorry festival goers, you’re going to have to leave your selfie sticks at home. Whether you have one out of vanity or convenience, it appears they will not be allowed at either Coachella or Lollapalooza. Coachella and Lollapalooza have posted on their info pages about the picture taking devices. While Lollapalooza politely states that that there will be no “GoPro attachments like sticks, selfie sticks & monopods” allowed, Coachella more jokingly quips that there will be “no selfie sticks/narcissists” allowed at the festival. So to all you cool kids out there hoping…

PLAYLIST: Growing Up Austin

Disclaimer: My Growing Up playlist might be the weirdest grouping of songs you have ever seen. Not to mention their release years just jump from early 2000’s to 1960’s to just last year. In truth, I am still growing up and have a lot of learning to do. However, I can tell you what songs and artists have influenced me the most. In case you were too lazy to scroll to the bottom of this page, my name is Austin Heath and I am an 18-year-old senior in high school….

WATCH: Versus Me “(A) Tension” Music Video

I’ve never been a metal fan. I spent years willing myself to “just like it” and “stop worrying so much about the lyrics” but it never worked. Earlier this week, I finally discovered my love for metal through metalcore band, Versus Me. And, to my surprise, I didn’t have to sacrifice my need for powerful lyrics in order to find it. Versus Me released their debut single, “(A) Tension” a few weeks ago and it’s a song about everyone. Guitarist and vocalist, Patrick Thompson puts it very succinctly, “It’s simply about…

STREAM: Limp Bizkit And Seinfeld Mashup Song

Limp Bizkit‘s classic “Break Stuff” has been incorporated into Seinfeld ‘s quirky theme song. Mashup creator JJ P takes the sitcom’s original theme song and adds in Fred Durst‘s vocals. It’s interesting to listen to such an angsty song played over one of the most lighthearted TV theme songs of all-time. Check out the mashup below the jump and let us know what you think of it. The band will be playing various shows throughout North America and Europe this year, including the Reading & Leeding Festivals this August. To…

Taylor Swift And Kanye West Plan On Working Together

Unless you have been living under a rock for the previous six years, you might remember when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift‘s moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. If you did not believe that these two had made up before, you might believe it now. Kanye West has been under some heat for “pulling a Kanye” at the Grammy Awards last week when he questioned the reasoning…

GUEST BLOG: 5 Tips To Be Ready For An Important Performance

Performing is one of the most adrenalin-filled and self-validating things you can do. Before you start, however, it can be absolutely nerve wracking.
