Carrie Brownstien of Sleater-Kinney releasing memoir in October  

With the comeback of Sleater-Kinney and Portlandia just ending it’s 5th season, it seems as if Carrie Brownstein is in her creative prime. To add to it all, Penguin Books has announced that on October 27 Brownstein’s memoir will be released. Titled Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl, Brownstein is to focus on her times in Sleater-Kinney, the three-piece all female punk band from Olympia, Washington, before their eight year hiatus in 2006. Gerard Way And More Featured in Sleater-Kinney Music Video

Ex-My Chemical Romance frontman, Gerard Way was just one of the few celebrities featured in Sleater-Kinney’s new music video for the song, “No Cities To Love”.
