Sylar Release Linkin Park Cover, Profits To Go To National Alliance On Mental Illness

The unfortunate passing of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington has brought even more awareness of mental health to the scene, and many bands have spoken out about the need to provide help and resources. Sylar recorded a cover of Linkin Park’s “Points Of Authority” before Bennington’s passing, but have decided to release the track. All profits will go to NAMI (National Alliance On Mental Illness). Sylar released a spankin’ new song titled “Dark Daze.” The track is off the band’s upcoming sophomore album Help! “Dark Daze” is about feeling confined by others’ expectations of you. “I’m feeling the pressure, and it gets heard to breathe,” sings vocalist Jayden Paness. “No pain, means no pleasure,” he continues.
