ALBUM REVIEW: You Had Me At Hello ‘Spirals’

Spirals is the debut full-length album from UK pop-punk band You Had Me At Hello. YHMAH have blended the right amount of fun and angst in to 13 songs that perfectly define their genre. The opening and title track for the album is a short, non-vocal intro. It includes muffled radio chatter that fades into music. As the music grows louder, the chatter becomes less and less audible. Hopeless Records Launches IndieGoGo Campaign

Sub City Records, a Hopeless Records subdivision, has launched an IndieGoGo campaign in the hopes to raise $15,000 by March 2nd. Sub City Records is working with New Directions for Youth to build Sub City Studios. The projected goal of the finished studio is to educate teens about instruments, recording, producing, and marketing in a professional environment. The program will help these teens after school and during school breaks. The studio will serve as a place for kids to go instead of being in an environment were they can cause trouble….

Maryland native rockers, The Dangerous Summer, are set to appear tonight at the Ottobar in Baltimore, and in addition they have now announced that the show will be recorded.  The announcement came via lead singer and bassist AJ Perdomo’s tweet earlier today: “Ps. Were recording our set tonight in baltimore.
