Chris Friedrich Of Caspian Memorial Fund

As many now know, Chris Friedrich of Caspian passed away unexpectedly last Sunday. There is now a memorial fund available online organized by his family and friends. Click here to see the memorial. Surviving Doors To Reunite For Manzarek Tribute

A live tribute to the founding member and late keyboardist of The Doors, Ray Manzarek, has been confirmed for later this year. The two surviving members,  Robby Krieger and John Densmore, told Rolling Stone that at least one big send off show is in the works. Krieger and Manzarek had begun performing together again in 2011. They had a show in Orange County planned for August of this year, with Krieger gaining knowledge of Manzarek’s cancer only a few months before his passing in May. The Killers Apologize To Green Day In New Song

During a gig in Wembley Stadium this weekend, The Killers performed “The Wembley Song,” a track that paid tribute to many bands, but also apologized to Green Day for past remarks about American Idiot. Tim Lambesis Continuing With Austrian Death Machine

Joey Cape Announces Tony Sly Tribute Tour

Joey Cape, best known for being the frontman of Lagwagon, has announced that he will be hitting the road for a 24-date tour in memory of the life of Tony Sly, the frontman for No Use For A Name who passed away  in July of 2012. The tour will feature Joey Cape, Jon Snodgrass (of Drag The River) and Brian Wahlstrom performing as Scorpios. Tony Sly also used to be a part of Scorpios until his passing last year.
