WATCH: Bad Suns’ Powerful Music Video For “Salt”

Recently many bands have been making music videos about important issues right now. OneRepublic made their “I Lived” music video about cystic fibrosis, Yellowcard centered their music video for “One Bedroom” around the Lord’s Resistance Army. These music videos are both powerful and very moving, however, the songs’ original meanings had nothing to do with these videos. Well yesterday, Bad Suns released their music video for “Salt,” and took these types of music videos to a whole new level. The song itself is about a person going through identity issues….

ALBUM REVIEW: Yellowcard – Lift A Sail

Lift A Sail is possibly Yellowcard’s biggest album to date. The album sees the band, after nearly a decade; finally decide to reinvent their music by returning to their roots instead of punching out the contrived pop-punk anthems as they had grown accustomed to.  Lift A Sail is a massive rock album that draws influence from 90s alt-rock bands like Foo Fighters and Nirvana. Each guitar riff has been renewed with a blistering intensity and Nate Young’s (Anberlin) presence of the drums gives the album a bit of an early…

Yellowcard Teams Up With Invisible Children For “One Bedroom” Music Video

Yellowcard is following in the footsteps of OneRepublic’s “I Lived” music video. They used their music video for “One Bedroom” as a PSA about The Lord’s Resistance Army run by Joseph Kony. The band members volunteered with Invisible Children, a non profit organization that helps men escape from this horrific fate. I worked with a similar organization called Human Rights Watch all through high school. Both these organizations go directly into the line  of fire and rescue these battered men. It is amazing how horrible this “army” is. At the…
