Pennsylvania-based pop punk group The Wonder Years shared two announcements with fans early this week, revealing an upcoming acoustic EP titled Burst and Decay, and a new creative outlet called “Loneliest Place on Earth.” Burst and Decay will be available September 22 through Hopeless Records, and more details on the new collective project will be announced in the near future.
On the band’s Facebook page, the group revealed to their fans, “We’ve begun a new venture. I’m hesitant to give it a title because I don’t want to limit what it could become but, for now, I’m going to call it a collective – an avenue for music and art and writing and performance. The first order of business will be to pair up with Hopeless Records to co-release an acoustic EP we recorded in May called ‘Burst & Decay’. In the coming months and years, we’ll be rolling out releases, artists and events. The seeds are being planted. This is just the beginning but for now, thank you. We love you. We’ll see you soon.”
Pre-order bundles for Burst and Decay that include exclusive vinyl variants are up for purchase now. To pre-order the EP, click here and continue scrolling below to see the official announcement from the band.
