Regular readers will know that mental health is something extremely important to us. In fact, we have a whole series where we encourage artists and industry professionals to share their very personal stories of struggle and triumph, fighting everything from depression, anxiety, bipolar, and insecurity, to name a few.
That’s why the “Dial Dan” campaign, launched by musician Dan Croll is such an incredible and important opportunity—but you only have one more day to get in on it.
Here’s the deal. Until August 25th, fans will be able to reach Croll by calling, texting, or leaving a voicemail to 1-424-261-2636 to chat about anything that’s on their mind. Croll launched the campaign earlier this year after dealing with his own personal struggles with anxiety and depression.
In the last round of “Dial Dan,” he took nearly 250 calls in less than a week’s time, ranging from 15 minutes to an hour.
“It started out as a bit of fun, and then you realize that actually there are a lot of people that just want to escape their jobs for even 10 minutes,” Croll said to Paste. “They want to talk about what their real passion is, or they want to vent frustration about exams and teachers and mom and dad. Basically, it was just a lot of teenagers who wanted to speak to someone else other than their teacher or their mom and dad. I think it’s really important to have that person.”
Remember, this ends tomorrow, so you’ll want to get in on it now.
