Processed with VSCO with a4 presetEarlier this year, The Maine frontman, John O’Callaghan, launched his side, solo project, aptly titled John The Ghost. And today, he surprised us with a music video for single “Sour Grapes.”

“I’m through with all the cheap sex and cigarettes, laced with the taste of my regrets,” O’Callaghan sings. “Save your breath and pretty dress, I don’t miss you at all.”

The black and white video is a chilling commentary about love and loss. With scenes of O’Callaghan’s lifeless eyes, along with a heart-wrenching storyline, this song is an emotional punch to the gut. Even after all these years of creating music, it’s refreshing to see a musician who can still create music that is emotionally powerful.

“Sour Grapes” is off John The Ghost’s debut, six-track EP Sincerely, John The Ghost. To hear more from the project, you can purchase a CD here.
