Britney: Piece of Me Opening Night NV Miley Cyrus has been sharing new music lately, but this time it’s much different than her Bangerz days. To raise awareness for the non-profit organization she founded called The Happy Hippie Foundation, she is performing a series of covers with other famous artists as backyard sessions. The first session was “Different” performed by Cyrus and Joan Jett. Check out “Androgynous” with Cyrus and Jett again along with Against Me‘s Laura Jane Grace after the jump!

The Happy Hippie foundations supports a vulnerable portion of today’s youth such as those who are homeless and a part of the LGBT community (see the website here). “Androgynous” is a song from 1984 that was originally performed by The Replacements. Considered as androgynous figures, Joan Jett and Laura Jane Grace are perfect musicians to cover this song and support a cause such as this.
