Green Day Announce Charity Stream Performance
The destruction and aftermath of Hurricane Harvey has recently taken the nation by storm, with support and donations being made daily to aid those affected. From major organizations to non-profits alike, many have put their best foot forward to give back. The same goes for musicians and legendary punk rockers, Green Day. Green Day announced via social media and Twitter that the band would be teaming up with Facebook Live and Americares to raise charitable donations for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The stream is set to be scheduled on September 5, 2017 at 4:00 pm EST on the band’s Facebook account. Viewers can donate and send support by clicking through the various donation buttons on the stream or by mobile by texting the word “HERO” to 20222 to give $25 to Americares.
