New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom Closing Until 2013 Due to Sandy Damages

The effects of Superstorm Sandy have caused New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom to close until the spring. Located in Sayreville, New Jersey the venue’s web-site stated today, that “due to damages the Starland Ballroom sustained as a result of Hurricane Sandy, it is necessary to cancel most scheduled shows at the Sayreville, NJ venue until Spring 2013.”

Refunds are available to all ticket holders for up-coming shows.  Artists whose shows have been canceled due to the closure include Yellowcard, Social Distortion, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Clutch and more.  Megadeath’s show scheduled for tonight (11/14) has been moved to the Best Buy Theater in New York.  Sum 41’s November 24th has been rescheduled for November 25th at the Stone Pony.  Taking Back Sunday’s shows on November 16 and 25th will be merged into a “mega show” on November 25th at the Pine Belt Arena, located on the campus of Toms River High School in Toms River New Jersey.
