If The Decemberists and Green Day had a baby, they would conceive Mike Llerena & the Nerves. Hailing from Gainesville, FL., the band just dropped their first full length album on June 15th. The first song, “Last Words”, sets the tone for the album – high energy, feel good, real music that instantly gets stuck in your head. New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom Closing Until 2013 Due to Sandy Damages

The effects of Superstorm Sandy have caused New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom to close until the spring. Located in Sayreville, New Jersey the venue’s web-site stated today, that “due to damages the Starland Ballroom sustained as a result of Hurricane Sandy, it is necessary to cancel most scheduled shows at the Sayreville, NJ venue until Spring 2013.” Refunds are available to all ticket holders for up-coming shows.  Artists whose shows have been canceled due to the closure include Yellowcard, Social Distortion, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Clutch and more.  Megadeath’s…
